東京グランド花月　よしもとが凄い！

僕は日頃は上記のような音楽を奏でていますが、実は京都出身なのでお笑いが大好きなんです。昨日は僕の大親友でシンガーでさらに「数式に記された愛」の舞台監督でもある大久保里夏さんと東京グランド花月で笑いの海に溺れてきました。そして幼少期から自分ではわかってはいるものの、改めてよしもとの笑いの創造力の凄さに圧倒されました！

実は吉本興業の歴史は、あのディズニー（1923年〜）よりも古い1912年から始まっているそうです。110年以上にわたり、一貫して「笑い」を産業として守り抜いてきた企業は、世界を見渡しても他に類がなく世界一なのだそうです。

世界最大、6,000人を超えるクリエイターを抱える、世界でも稀な「才能の巨大工場」で365日、朝から晩まで生放送さながらのライブが全国で行われるシステムは、まさに日本版のブロードウェイ。

その歴史は100年前の「しゃべくり漫才」の発明から、関西の「ローカル」を突き詰め唯一無二の「日本文化」へと進化してきました。一つの会社が110年以上も、劇場運営からスターの育成までを一貫して行い、国のエンタメ文化を形作ってきたという点において、吉本興業はブロードウェイのどの興行主も成し遂げていない世界一の継続性を持っているのだそうです。

関西以西出身なら多くの方がご存知と思いますが、僕も幼少期からこれを見続けてきました。東方面では最近では東京や神奈川ではそこそこ浸透してきているように感じています。もちろん能楽も浄瑠璃も歌舞伎も松竹新喜劇も宝塚も楽しいですが、時代に沿った勢いのある伝統芸能としてこれからも目が離せないエンターテイメントです。

僕もジャンルは違いますが、エンターテイメントの送り手として改めて良いものを届けられるようい頑張ろうと思います。

Yesterday, I immersed myself in a sea of laughter at the Tokyo Grand Kagetsu with my best friend, singer and stage director of “Love Written in an Equation,” Rika Okubo. Although I’ve known it since childhood, I was once again overwhelmed by the incredible creative power of Yoshimoto’s comedy!

Apparently, Yoshimoto Kogyo’s history dates back to 1912, even older than Disney (established 1923). For over 110 years, they have consistently protected “laughter” as an industry, making them unparalleled in the world and the world’s number one.

With the world’s largest and over 6,000 creators, it’s a rare “giant factory of talent,” and its system of live broadcasts across the country 365 days a year, from morning till night, is truly the Japanese version of Broadway.

Its history began 100 years ago with the invention of “shabekuri manzai” (a type of stand-up comedy), and has evolved from a focus on Kansai’s “local” style to a unique “Japanese culture.” Yoshimoto Kogyo boasts unparalleled continuity, unmatched by any Broadway promoter, in that it has consistently handled everything from theater management to star development for over 110 years, shaping the nation’s entertainment culture.

Many people from Kansai and westward are familiar with it, and I myself have been watching it since childhood. In the eastern part of Japan, it seems to be gaining some traction in Tokyo and Kanagawa recently. Of course, Noh, Joruri, Kabuki, Shochiku Shinkigeki, and Takarazuka are all enjoyable, but Yoshimoto Kogyo is a vibrant traditional performing art that keeps pace with the times and remains an entertainment to watch.
