35回を超えた歴史的対話の、その「先」へ。
皆さま、こんにちは。出嶌達也です。
実は、ダライ・ラマ14世は1987年から現在に至るまで、世界トップクラスの科学者たちと35回以上もの公式対話を積み重ねてきました。「マインド＆ライフ会議」と呼ばれるこの活動は、仏教哲学と現代科学がどう響き合うかを探る、壮大な知の冒険です。
1980年代のデヴィッド・ボーム氏との出会いから始まり、2022年にノーベル物理学賞を受賞したアントン・ツァイリンガー教授との対話に至るまで、彼らが浮き彫りにしてきたのは「量子力学と中観哲学の驚くべき一致」でした。
「この世界に、固定された実体など何ひとつない」
この科学と宗教の共通解は、世界のあり方を根底から覆す発見です。しかし、これまでの対話の多くは、あくまで学術的な「理論の照合」が中心でした。
今回の広島での対談で私が目指すのは、その膨大な歴史をバックボーンに据え、さらに一歩踏み込んだ「実践編」です。
ロジスティック写像（カオス）、シュレディンガー方程式、そして耗散構造（散逸構造）。
これら最新の物理概念は、単なる教科書の数式ではありません。私たちがどう生き、どうすれば調和を保てるのかを示す、生きた「知恵」なのです。
過去35回以上の対話で蒔かれた種を、広島という特別な土壌で、具体的な「生きる指針」として芽吹かせる。それは、理論の壁を越えて、さらなる心の共鳴と知的好奇心を満たす体験へとアップデートする試みでもあります。
また翌日のライブでは、それらの概念を両手タッピングや弓奏法という「振動」に変えてお届けします。
歴史の延長線上に立ちながら、まだ誰も見たことのない景色を皆さんと分かち合えることを、今から心待ちにしています。

Beyond the 35+ Historic Dialogues.
Hello everyone. This is Tatsuya Dejima.
In fact, the 14th Dalai Lama has held over 35 official dialogues with world-class scientists from 1987 to the present. This activity, called the “Mind & Life Conference,” is a grand intellectual adventure exploring how Buddhist philosophy and modern science resonate with each other.
Starting with his encounter with David Bohm in the 1980s and continuing to his dialogue with Professor Anton Zeilinger, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2022, what they have highlighted is the “astonishing agreement between quantum mechanics and Madhyamaka philosophy.”
“There is nothing in this world that has a fixed substance.”
This common solution between science and religion is a discovery that fundamentally overturns our understanding of the world. However, much of our previous dialogue has focused on the academic “comparison of theories.”
What I aim for in this dialogue in Hiroshima is a step further, a “practical application,” building upon that vast history.
Logistic map (chaos), Schrödinger equation, and dissipative structure.
These cutting-edge physical concepts are not merely textbook formulas. They are living “wisdom” that shows how we live and how we can maintain harmony.
We will cultivate the seeds sown in our more than 35 past dialogues, allowing them to sprout as concrete “guidelines for living” in the unique soil of Hiroshima. This is also an attempt to transcend the boundaries of theory and update it into an experience that further resonates with the heart and satisfies intellectual curiosity.
Furthermore, in the live performance the following day, I will deliver these concepts transformed into “vibrations” through two-handed tapping and bowing techniques.
I look forward to sharing with you a landscape that no one has ever seen before, while standing on the extension of history.
