久遠（くおん）とは、ある事柄がいつまでも続くこと。永遠を意味します。僕自身は無限大のその上をいく概念として理解しています。この曲は「数式に記された愛 / “Position of Love in the Equation” 」のテーマ曲でもあります。よかったら聴いてください。
“Kuon” means that a certain thing will last forever. It means eternity. I understand myself as a concept that goes on infinity. This song is also the theme song of “Position of Love in the Equation”. Please listen.

これまで出嶌達也は様々なアルバムを提供してきましたが、今回のアルバムにはイベント『数式に記された愛』で使用された楽曲が収録されています。

このイベント『数式に記された愛』とは出嶌達也の音楽・研究・小説によって創り出された複合アートイベントです。

Tatsuya Dejima – the creator of a number of varied music albums – has now completed his newest one, consisting of music taken from his “Position of Love in the Equation” art event, which integrates music, research ideas, and a novel.

たとえば、小説をイメージした楽曲『久遠』『スカーレット』や、イベントで登場するカオスの数式をもとに作り出した実験音楽『カオス』。また『パーム』は温かな手につつまれる感覚、 『桜の宴』は七福神の宴をイメージし和を彷彿させる楽曲です。

その他にも、東日本大震災への想いをこめた楽曲『祈り』、そして出嶌の特徴的な表現手段の一つでもある両手タッピング奏法のギターソロ『ソノリテ』も収録されています。

“Kuon” and “Scarlet” directly imagine Dejima’s novel, while “Chaos” is an experimental piece constructed from a ‘chaos formula’ that appears in the event. “Palm” evokes the sensation of being enveloped by warm hands, and “Sakura no Utage” creates a Japanese mood, based on an image of the feast of the Seven Lucky Gods. “Prayer” is Dejima’s expression of feelings following the Great East Japan Earthquake, and “Sonorité” features one of his characteristic techniques – two-handed guitar tapping.

ここで登場するカオスとは宇宙創生から生物の出現まで深く関わってきたと言われている現象のことで、音楽や絵画などアートの中にも多く見いだす事ができます。イベントではカオスを生み出す『数式』から『愛のような相手を思いやる作用』を見いだし、『愛の大切さを再認識する』という独自のシナリオを音楽と映像を用いて誰にでも解りやすいエンターテイメント形式にて提供します。なお、『数式に記された愛』については、私のブログに掲載していますので詳しく知りたい方はご覧ください。

“Chaos” is a phenomenon that has been deeply linked with the creation of living matter from space, and many examples can be found in the arts, including painting and music. During this event you will learn how the concept of Chaos has application to many parts of life – most importantly in human relationships – and will come to recognize the importance of love through the use of music, video, and unique scenarios, in an easy to understand and enjoyable and entertaining form.

Kuon　久遠

久遠とは『遠い昔、または遠い未来、永遠』など様々な意味があります。この曲は出嶌達也が書き上げた小説に描かれた壮大な時間と空間をイメージして作曲されました。

“Quon” invokes “distant past, distant future, forever”. This song depicts the magnificence of time and space invoked in Dejima’s novels.

Palm　パーム

『パーム』は温かな手につつまれる感覚をイメージして作曲されました。元々はオーケストレーションされた作品ですが、このイベントのためにギターとピアノのシンプルなバージョンでリメイクされた作品です。”Palm” was composed to depict the sensation of being enveloped by warm hands. It was originally orchestrated, but has been re-worked for this event in an arrangement for piano and guitar.

Chaos　カオス

カオス理論の発端となった『ロジスティック方程式』と呼ばれる数式を用いて次々と生まれるカオスデータを音の高さに変換した実験的な作品です。生成された最初の１６音をベース進行音として用い、ギターとピアノがコードやメロディを付け加えながら展開していきます。

An experimental piece using pitches based on chaos data, and initially entitled “Logistic Equation”. The melody and chords played by the guitar and piano begin with 16 tones generated by the formula, and gradually expand.

Sakura no utage　桜の宴

満開の桜の下で七福神が宴会を行っているシーンをイメージして作曲されました。和を彷彿させるシンボリックなフレーズを中心にギターとピアノが交互にメロディを展開していきます。”Sakura no Utage” creates a Japanese mood, based on an image of the feast of the Seven Lucky Gods. The guitar and piano alternately develop the melody around a symbolic phrase reminiscent of Japan.

Scarlet　スカーレット

出嶌達也が書き上げた小説の中に登場する人物をモチーフにした作品です。スカーレットとは緋色とも呼ばれる色名の一つで、罪悪を象徴する色、そして紫に次いで高貴な色と位置づけられています。A composition utilizing motifs representing characters in Dejima’s novels. The color scarlet symbolizes guilt, and yet is regarded as a noble color in Japan.

Inori　祈り

東日本大震災直後に完成させた作品です。当時被災状況が伝わるにつれて、役立てることは何かと問い、虚無感の中から音楽を作る事しかないことを再認識させられた曲でもあります。とにかく聴いてくれた人の心が少しでも楽になればと次の日にyoutubeで発表された曲です。当時は打ち込み（DTM）の曲でしたが、今回は生でレコーディングし直して収録しています。A composition completed by Dejima during the time immediately following the Great East Japan Earthquake, when he was trying to think of some way to offer assistance. It is his hope that even music created from a sense of emptiness can serve to help heal the listener, even a little. The piece was released on YouTube the following day in a synthesized version, but has now been recorded live.

Sonorité　ソノリテ

ソノリテとはフランス語で共鳴という意味です。両手タッピングの左右独立の手の動きや、音楽セッションの様子が『カオスの 揺らぎ共鳴の態様』と似ていることから閃いたギターソロです。ライブでは他の楽器とともに演奏されることがあります。Sonorité is a French term meaning resonance. Frequently performed live with other musicians, the sounds created by both hands tapping the guitar create an image of the fluctuating resonances of the chaos.
